Win the Lottery - tips

Don't use family birthdays - this is a popular mistake!

Sure it lacks originality but more than that it reduces your chances of winning the lottery. Just think about it -- the days and months only go up to 31 and

12. Even if you do win the lottery using your birth digits, the chances are you'll have to split the winnings with more people. After all everyone's birthday

begins with 19 (and anyone who doesn't should not be playing the lottery). The same applies to buying a ticket when there's a bigger jackpot -- more people

play so the odds are more people win. Let's be honest you don't want to have to share your winnings with strangers anymore than you want to hear from your

second cousin twice removed after a 20-year silence.

Don't make a nice pattern!
Diagonal lines, straight lines, star shapes, boxes, zig-zags - doing this on your slip is silly. You might think you're being smart but again, you and

thousands of other people will have the exact same thought.

Check ball frequency!
They tell us it's all totally random, but certain balls have a knack of being drawn more freqeuntly than others. Find out which ones apear most often when

making your choices. Number seven and multiples of it are popular choices. And rightly so, number seven appears in the list of top 10 winning numbers in both

the South African and UK lotteries.

Actually check the results!
You'd be suprised how many people don't check whether they've won the lottery. What's more, winning tickets have to be claimed within 180 days of the draw,

otherwise the money goes off to the Lotto's Good Causes fund. A ticket worth £9,476,995 was once distributed in this way and it was the 24th prize in excess

of a million pounds to be unclaimed.

Become a worker!
Camelot recently released a list of the top Lottery-winning professions. Builders and workers have been the biggest winners, followed by administators and

managers. The unluckiest in the Top 40? Poor funeral directors.

Go for a tarot card reading
It's worked for some people. Housing officer Janette Wright was told by a tarot card reader that one day she would come into money. A few years later, she

bought a Lucky Dip and promptly won a £1,633,505 Lotto jackpot.

Why Online Adult Dating Services Work

Online adult dating services work great. Many people are finding that it's an easy way to find someone who shares your interests. This is a reason why it is becoming so popular. Now there are several adult dating services online to help you discover your soul mate. It is not surprising that you won't succeed the first time around. No worries; there certainly are plenty of fish in the sea, as they say.

Still remember those cubbing routine you made on any Thursday, Friday or Saturday night back in college life? You could easily find a fixed portion of the college students in the local hot spots. You and I perfectly knew that most of them were just out to have a good time. And few may have been searching for something more. Club and bar scenes are definitely those great places to search for potential. Why, because you can find a lot of singles hanging around there.

However, it is never easy to find the other half who can shares your beliefs, hobbies and goals in life.

This is why adult dating services come into the picture in here instead. If you're looking for a beer and a random conversation with a cigarette-puffing stranger, a bar or night club is the place to be, period. But if you're searching for something more profound, you're likely to find it with the assistance of online adult dating services.

With the modern technology, it simply takes you less than a few minutes to browse for some adult dating service site, singing up for their dating service, putting up your personal profiles, search for your perfect mates by some filtering service by the adult dating site. Best thing is you don't even have to leave the comfort of your home. Find a local single that shares your passion for life. This is the future of dating. That's why adult dating services online are becoming so popular.

While no adult dating service website can guarantee 100% safety, at least there is some screening process. Using online adult dating services is also a lot safer than a random chat room. They'll also have a credit card number of the person you're meeting. Come to think of it, that's even safer than meeting a stranger in a club or bar.

Choose A Backup Software For Your Data Center Disaster Recovery Plan

A data center stores all the programs, files, applications and other digital information that a business needs to have, so they may reasonably compete against businesses using the internet. If their files where destroyed, this would bring the companies production to a halt, possibly causing a crushing blow to its positive cash flow. This is why it's absolutely critical to invest time and money in a reliable data center disaster recovery plan.

If you are already convinced that you must protect your data, then the next question is what exactly are we supposed to look for in a data center disaster recovery plan anyway?

It does not matter if you are a huge multinational corporation or a new business just entering your fast growth phase. Every business needs a first rate computer backup system.

Computer backup systems are a part of data center disaster recovery plans because they play the major role of safeguarding the pertinent data that keeps your business alive and restoring that data if a computer hardware failure occurs. Because of the importance of its function, selecting the right computer backup program is critical to your data center's disaster recovery plan.

Listed below are several facts to consider during your search for the best computer backup system:

Protection: How many levels of safety does the program have? Does it have a proper administrative login procedure? Can it keep your files intact in its own "vault" so they cannot leak out, get misplaced, or become erased? Determining what the program's security system can and cannot do is vital in making a selection. The program you want to choose must be capable of top-rate security.

Ease of Access: Even though you're backed up files have to be secure, at the same time they should be easily accessible. This encourages frequent updates and simplifies documentation procedures. An accessible system boosts the businesses efficiency, allowing more time to work on other important issues and responsibilities.

Storage Space: Storage pace is always a big issue for online computer backups. Even a small mom and pop business can have an amazing amount of data that needs to be stored. It's vital to know all your storage options and the limitations of your online computer backups, so you can confirm if it can, in fact, handle all or your valuable data.

Ease of Use: It isn’t a must-have requirement, but an easy to understand and operate program is a big plus for a number of reasons. A simple but effective program will be operated, verified, backed up, and given quality control checks more often. This minimizes the risk of file recovery disaster and increases the likelihood of a full recovery from computer crashes.

Dependability: Another important point to look for is if the program can store and restore your data completely when asked too without having to jump through any hoops? You should make sure it is easy to restore your data.

Don’t include yourself as one of the many businesses that do not pay enough attention to their data center disaster recovery plans. Neglecting to check if your computer backup system is up to restoring a file recovery disaster is going to be a painful experience when you most need it.

At all times you have to remember that depending on which computer backup system you select, it will make or break your data center disaster recovery plans. So be sure to take your time and pick wisely.

Four Power System Problems Common in Colocation Facilities

The primary factor that determines uptime for servers in a colocation facility is power. Power outages will knock a network offline and even damage hardware such as motherboards, memory, and hard drives. Despite how intrinsic power is to keeping businesses connected to their networks, only 2% to 3% of colocation facilities have the right power systems in place. The other 97% of facilities most commonly lack redundancy, multiple units carry the energy load even if one unit fails, or have units that are running above capacity, so a unit failure will cause the other units to overload and fail. Every part of the power system – uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), transfer switches or circuit breakers, generators, and power distribution units (PDU) – should be redundant and running below capacity.

Problem 1: Non-redundant Power Grids
Multiple PDUs connected to separate power grids and multiple UPSs should be designed into the colocation facility to offset a power grid failure. Colocation facilities with redundant power grids can connect customer servers to different grids at the same time, so that even if one goes offline, the other will work, keeping the network running without interruption.

Problem 2: Non-redundant UPSs
The UPSs supply power during an outage until the generator can come online; if the UPSs do not turn on immediately at the time of failure, then the network will go down. Even with high quality UPSs, failures are common, so it is critical for there to be multiple redundant UPS units in an “n+1” configuration – all of the necessary UPSs, plus an extra. Functionally, this means that each UPS runs sufficiently below capacity to handle a unit failure without the other units overloading. If there are two UPSs, then each unit must run below 50%, so that if one fails, the other can continue without overloading. If there are three units, each must run below 66%; four units, below 75%. The current load is shown on the display on the front of the UPS.

Problem 3: Transfer Switch Failures
Most colocation facilities use mechanical transfer switches, which are not as dependable as circuit breakers, to switch power from the electric utility to the generator. These switches are one of the most common places the power system fails. Without redundant switches to transfer power at the same point, a transfer switch failure will mean that a network goes down.

Problem 4: Insufficient Generator Capacity
Generators supply power during an outage. To run without overloading, the generator must have capacity to run 1.5 times the total building load. Ideally, a colocation facility should have a redundant backup generator in case the primary generator fails, and the facility should have a process in place for switching power between generators. Having multiple generators is not the same as having redundant generators. One of the most common generator problems with colocation facilities is that the facility started out with a small generator and added generators as it grew. This creates multiple points where power has to be transferred during an outage, increasing the likelihood that a network will go down. As a practical consideration, the generators must be well-maintained, tested monthly, and fully supplied with fuel.

Points to Consider
Fewer than one in twenty colocation facilities have the best power systems in place despite the fact that power systems have the most impact on network uptime. Without well-maintained and redundant components running below capacity at every part of the system, network performance as well as server performance and equipment lifetime will suffer. To make sure that the power system at a colocation facility is robust enough to handle power and equipment failures, two words should be remembered: capacity and redundancy.

Relax Your Way To Public Speaking

Believe it or not, fear of death is actually second to the one greatest fear that the majority of humanity seems tensely afraid of: fear of speaking in public.

If fear is all that you are thinking, then forget about that presentation that could earn your company and you the necessary sales. Presentation and public speaking is one of the most efficient as well as effective manner in making your products and services known. Why deny your product or service the chance to be heard? If you are still afraid, try your very best to focus on the various positive after effects of making that presentation. Create in your mind the numerous clients, customers and contact persons you might not get to see or be involved with if you let that unnecessary and irrelevant anxiety take hold of you. Your presentation may only take thirty minutes but the long term effects of your pitch or presentation might go a long way.

If the fear is still gripping you, try to do the following exercises to help your body relax and warm up to whatever it is you plan to do in your presentation. Turn that negative energy into a positive one and see who benefits best from it.

Warm up your body

Are you wearing high heeled shoes now? If you are, please take them off now. Then go and stand up. Try to stand on only one leg. Then shake the leg that is off the floor. Switch legs and do the same thing again. What you are doing is taking the negative energy of anxiety towards the floor and out of your body. Though this may appear and sound so out of this world, it actually works. For your information, actors use this as a warm-up exercise prior to attacking any scene.

Hold out your hands, shake them, fast. Put your hands over your head and bring them to your sides. Repeat the same process. Doing this continually will take the tension off your hands and arms so any movements you make with them during your presentation gets to appear natural.

Ease the tension present in the muscles of your face. In order to do this what you could do is chew in a manner that is exaggerated.

These exercises are done for the purpose of warming any part of your body that is edgy, uptight or taut from being too nervous thinking about how you will do in your presentation. Do not think too much though as it only adds unnecessary stress. Relax and your audience will relax along with you.

Travel Jobs & How to Make Money While You Travel

Ever had the desire to quit your lame 9 to 5 job, tell your boss to shove it, pack up and start traveling the world?

All of us have had that desire at one point! The thing that stopped you was probably the same thing that stops most people: money.

"How will I pay for my flights, food, lodging, transportation, yada, yada, yada," you asked yourself.

Don't let these concerns bother you too much, because there is an underground, growing group of travelers who are utilizing some simple but hidden techniques to make significant incomes while traveling.

Here's an overview of how we make money traveling and by landing travel jobs:

Underground Travel Income Method #1 - Traditional Travel Job - Hold a job that either a) pays for us to travel or b) is located in the place we wish to travel to. This is the lowest paying and most complicated method of all, but is the most commonplace.

Common jobs that pay for travels are for professional speakers, salespeople, package couriers, flight attendants, travel nurses/doctors, conservationists, cruise ship workers, etc.

Travel jobs located in the places we wish to go to can be any of the above, but also are specific to the location we travel to. There are some FUN jobs overseas that are looking for foreign workers!

Underground Travel Income Method #2 - Travel Writing - Travel writing jobs for magazines are more common than you may imagine. However, there are LOADS of other ways to write as you travel and make money, including blogging, picking up projects from sites like Elance and Guru, and writing travel guides, both online and offline.

Underground Travel Income Method #3 - Selling Affiliate Products - Using a simple website, you can drive online traffic to a product that will be of interest to your online followers. Don't be intimidated by this! It can be as easy as using your very own Facebook or Myspace profile. Affiliate products typically pay 50% to 75%, so you can make a very healthy income for selling just a few objects.

Underground Travel Income Method #4 - Filming Your Adventures - If you've got the camera out and you're taking pictures, why not switch it to 'film' mode and make money from it? You simply make a video of your destinations using iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, then use your videos to create a customer base!

Underground Travel Income Method #5 - Podcasting - If filming scares you off or intimidates you, you can make an iTunes podcast. It is easier than ever to get listed in iTunes and there's a HUGE audience of podcast listeners. Simply talk about the places you visit two or three times a week and watch how your following grows... and how your bank account grows!

Underground Travel Income Method # 6 - eBay - The common misconception about eBay is that you have to sell a physical product to make money. Here's the trick: You can set up a fulfillment house to ship your product (or hire your little sister or the neighborhood kid). All you have to do is create your eBay post from an internet café and collect the money!

Take any one of these six 'travel job' methods, and there are hundreds of travelers all over the world making more money than they would at a regular 'job...' and they're living it up at exotic, world-class destinations. Take your pick, and take action on the ideas here!

Gregory Reyes Trial | Real Time Court Status

I first met Greg Reyes when I went to visit Brocade Communications in 1998. At the time, he had recently assumed the CEO position there and I worked for an investment banking company, Needham & Company. I no longer work for Needham arid cannot represent them in any capacity at this time.

Brocade had no CFO at the time. I can't remember if the CFO had left just prior to Greg joining or shortly thereafter. I do recall that Brocade was having a difficult time finding a replacement and that the prior CFO had not been suitable to represent the company during an IPO and as a public company. My understanding was that Greg had inherited the CFO problem and was doing his best to find a replacement. Silicon Valley was booming at the time and CFOs were a tough find.

At the initial meeting, in subsequent ones, and at dinners over the next year Greg and I discussed Brocade, their desire to go public, market conditions and the fibre channel industry. Greg also made comments from time to time about his family - all complimentaiy about how wonderful and closely knit they were. He specifically mentioned the sacrifices his wife had made, with small children, to nurture their family. It was very clear that Greg treasured his family and worried about the demands of his current position on his wife and two children.

I believe that two specific encounters are very relevant to Greg's current legal situation. Overall, I am shocked that of the many CEOs I knew during the relevant time period he is the one to be convicted in a criminal trial.

The first situation was when Greg and I initially discussed the possibility of Brocade going public. He said the company had started the process then stopped it after deciding that it wasn't ready. At that time, he made it clear to me that he felt an ethical obligation to stick with the original underwriting team since they had already put in a lot of work and had been loyal to Brocade.

Next, when Brocade did go public, Greg invited our firm to be part of the underwriting syndicate (the underwriters typically consist of three or so investment banks who do most of the work. Greg kept this original team. The syndicate is a much broader group, and only sells stock. In most IPOs this latter list is quite long to ensure wide distribution of shares. We were part of this second group). The lead banker, Morgan Stanley, tried to exclude us from the syndicate at the last minute. I called Greg to discuss this problem. At that time he asked me what his legal and ethical options were. He made it very clear that he would maintain his commitment to us - he felt ethically bound to do so since he had committed to include us - only if doing so was legally correct.

When I recently read in a newspaper that Greg had sent an email in which he said that backdating was illegal I was shocked to read that the email was being interpreted such that he knew illegal things were occurring at Brocade. Based on my experience with Greg 1 read the comment to mean that he was reiterating what was legal to ensure that email recipient complied with the law. As stated above, Greg made it clear to me that both ethical and legal factors were very important to him and must be maintained. He was exceptional as a CEO in his emphasis on the value he placed on legality, ethics and loyalty.

Therefore, based on my experiences with Grog during the period at issue in his trial and sentencing I would respectfully urge the judge to consider leniency. Greg was always gracious, courteous and respectful in every situation in which 1 observed him. Greg worked incredible hours and entered a company with either no CFO or an inappropriate one. One person can only do so much and I would hate to see other executives shy away from companies with similar difficulties due to their own future possible liabilities.

NDS Roms

As a Nintendo DS console owner, you know the game library is too much for the average wallet. While game reviews and video footage appease the decision process in order to bring you the best entertainment, nothing quite beats playing the game yourself. Unfortunately DS game demos are nonexistent; your only solution is to download NDS roms. Roms are technically any kind of Read-Only file, but in this context it refers to a game. NDS roms are therefore Nintendo DS games ripped from their cartridges and put up on NDS download roms websites, and Peer to Peer (torrent) websites.

P2P (Peer to Peer) websites are set up so that your NDS roms downloads aren't from the website itself, but rather from its users. Torrents are the common file types for P2P websites as they are optimized for the multiple-user download system, pause and restart easily at any time, and let you upload bits of the data to other users. However there are occasions where you may aid in uploading viruses and other malware - in addition to getting them yourself. Additionally, the torrents themselves could have been tampered with to contain devious objects that will attack your computer or even steal files and important information from cache.

There are of course NDS roms download websites where you can download NDS roms that aren't torrents. Such websites are more reliable as they usually test all roms and cannot be easily interfered with by malicious users. Many sites provide downloads at no cost, but are they reliable? Free websites rely solely on donations, thus are restricted on budget. Fewer employees can be hired to verify roms for malware and reliability. Less powerful servers are purchased leading to common site outages for maintenance and bandwidth issues, causing the administrators to impose users with daily limit of NDS roms downloads or affecting the speed at which they download NDS roms. While the idea of paying a single membership fee on websites seems daunting, that fee goes to keep servers up for a faster and smoother download process than the free alternatives.

Ultimately your decisions to download illegally ripped NDS games, as well as which download method you support, are left up to you. With the safety of both your PC and DS in mind however, paid NDS roms download websites are recommended for the security and reliability they offer.

Win That Lotto Review - Good Or Bad?

I decided to write this Win That Lotto review after having a chance to look into the program myself. Is there really a strategy that will help you win the lottery? Is there a system that works better than picking random numbers based on your husband’s birthday? I sought to answer these questions and more as I looked at the program, with the hopes that this review will help you decide if it’s something worth looking into on your own.

I have to admit, every time I read the headlines about random people who won huge lottery jackpots I get jealous. I play every week, but have never won more than $100. If only there was a system to win, other than letting the machine choose random numbers for you. Apparently, there is such a program: Win That Lotto.

Win That Lotto is a strategy in the form of software and an e-book that teaches you ways of dramatically increasing your odds of winning. Underground lottery pros have been using the system for years, and now you can as well.

With Win That Lotto, you will learn top lottery systems that put the odds in your favor. The software also teaches you how to come up with the best number combinations, which number combinations never to play, the do’s and don’ts of playing the lotto and how lottery professionals have been making a killing working certain systems.

Win That Lotto is an excellent resource to use if you’re tired of not winning the lottery. When you order the program, you have nothing to lose. The system comes with an iron clad guarantee that promises 100 percent satisfaction. If for any reason you aren’t happy, keep the knowledge you’ve obtained and get your money back. With a promise like that, how can I not tell everyone I know about it? I enthusiastically recommend Win That Lotto to anyone who is tired of being poor. It’s a great system, and can work for you!
